Why Choose a Glass Igloo in Lapland

A glass igloo is more than a place to stay. It is a way to immerse yourself in Lapland’s wilderness without stepping outside. From your bed, the sky becomes your ceiling, and nature feels part of the room.

Instead of walls, you have wide views: quiet forests, the shimmering surface of the lake, and the vast Arctic sky above. The experience is both private and expansive – offering stillness, wonder, and a perspective unlike anywhere else.

Whether you’re here for a romantic escape, a family adventure, or simply to slow down, a glass igloo creates an atmosphere where every moment feels close to nature.

The Experience at Silver Birch Resort

Inside, you will find: a panoramic glass roof above your bed for uninterrupted views, private lake-facing terraces, modern amenities including ensuite bathroom, shower, and heating, cozy interiors designed for relaxation and quiet moments

Experience seasons of
Lapland from Your
Glass Igloo

One of the most remarkable things about staying in a glass igloo is how the experience transforms with each season.

  • Winter (December–March): Snow blankets the forest, activities like husky sledding and snowmobiling are just moments away, and the northern lights paint the sky in green and violet hues.
  • Spring (April–May): Days grow longer, temperatures soften, and you can still catch auroras while enjoying the brightness of late-season snow.
  • Summer (June–August): The midnight sun creates golden nights by the lake. This is the perfect time for canoeing, hiking, and simply relaxing outdoors.
  • Autumn (September–November): The ruska season fills the landscape with shades of orange and red. Nights darken again, offering excellent chances for early-season aurora viewing.

Whichever month you visit, the view from your igloo becomes part of your story.
